The Senior Source’s Spirit of Generations Luncheon
When it comes to caring for seniors, the Dallas community unites. One stellar example is the annual Spirit of Generations Luncheon hosted by The Senior Source. Since 1994, the event has raised more than $22 million to support The Senior Source’s work helping older adults live with dignity, purpose and security.
Held Feb. 27 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, the 2025 luncheon honored Elaine Agather, a distinguished figure in the banking industry. Cambridge Caregivers made a donation, and two representatives attended the event: Lindsay Feldman, director of operations, and Alex Arriola, communications and marketing specialist.
As chairman of the Dallas region for JPMorgan Chase & Co. and global vice chair at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, Agather’s career has been marked by leadership, innovation, and a deep-seated commitment to service. Beyond her professional achievements, Agather has been an active contributor to various cultural and civic organizations, including the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, the Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show, and Performing Arts Fort Worth.
Speaking at the luncheon, Agather delighted the audience by sharing “Elaine’s 8,” her leadership principles for both personal and professional success:
- Saddle Your Own Horse… then ride with a good team.
- Like What You Do… and then decide what to like next.
- Turn on a Dime… but remember to slow down.
- Stay Connected… but vary the connections.
- Practice Free Speech… and sprinkle it liberally with ‘thank yous.’
- Get Over It… but spend a little time in recovery.
- Develop Your Funny Bone… but cry with them, too.
- Strengthen Your Backbone… stand firm in your convictions.
“Elaine is truly a one-of-a-kind businesswoman,” said John Goff, an associate who spoke at the event. “She lights up the room with her enthusiasm, her smarts, and her tenacity. She can be charming as well as tough as nails — in the very same meeting.”
The luncheon also spotlighted Jason Krawczyk, recipient of the Molly H. Bogen Service Award, named after The Senior Source’s longtime president and CEO. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to enhancing the well-being of older adults in the Dallas area. Since 2017, Krawczyk has been instrumental in assisting more than 1,100 older adults through The Senior Source’s Elder Financial Safety Center, saving the agency an estimated $82,000. In addition to providing financial guidance, he has personally installed window units for seniors in need and leveraged his business relationships to secure affordable air conditioning solutions during the hottest days of the summer, ensuring comfort and safety for many vulnerable individuals.
The event served as a reminder of the need for a community-wide effort to support our aging population. The Senior Source’s programs include the Elder Financial Safety Center, which protects older adults from financial fraud and scams, and the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, which provides resources and support for the many seniors in assisted living or skilled nursing facilities in the Dallas area who never receive visitors.
“The Senior Source is grateful for the support from Cambridge Caregivers for the Spirit of Generations Luncheon,” said Stacey Malcolmson, president and CEO of The Senior Source. “The funds that are raised provide critical resources and support for our community’s often most neglected population.”
At Cambridge Caregivers, we are inspired by the luncheon honorees’ commitment and are motivated to continue our mission of providing exceptional care and support to the senior community. We are honored to be part of this vibrant community and remain steadfast in our commitment to providing compassionate care to those who have paved the way for future generations.
