Cambridge Caregivers Shares Real-World Insight at FPA DFW Conference
Cambridge Caregivers was proud to contribute to the Financial Planners Association DFW Conference, held at the Irving Convention Center.
Our Chief Relationship Officer, Brian Levy, participated in a panel discussion titled “Beyond the Nursing Home: Innovative Approaches to Long-Term Care Planning.” The session encouraged financial professionals to think broadly about the spectrum of senior care options available to their clients — and how those options intersect with financial strategy.
Drawing from real-world experience, Brian shared insight into the continuum of care, from in-home support to residential settings. He emphasized how family dynamics and emotional readiness often shape long-term care decisions. While spreadsheets and projections are essential, families frequently make decisions based on trust, stress levels and how prepared they feel emotionally for change.
He was joined by co-panelists Karry Ballinger, who outlined insurance and funding options for long-term care needs, and Lily Vittayarukskul, who demonstrated AI-driven planning tools that help financial planners model care costs and anticipate a range of client scenarios.
Events like this matter to us. Families navigating aging and long-term care decisions rarely rely on a single advisor. They turn to a team — financial planners, attorneys, physicians and care providers — each offering a different perspective.
By participating in professional conversations like the FPA DFW Conference, we deepen our understanding of how care planning fits into the broader financial and emotional landscape families are managing.
Staying engaged with other professionals helps us serve families more thoughtfully and proactively. It strengthens collaboration and ensures that when families are ready to have difficult conversations about care, those conversations are informed, realistic and grounded in real-life experience.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the dialogue and to continue learning alongside others who are committed to supporting older adults and their families.
