Christina Solis

At Cambridge Caregivers, Great Care Begins with Great People

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the promotion of Christina Solis to our first-ever Caregiver Manager — a new leadership role created to support and elevate our team from within.

From the moment Christina joined us three years ago as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), she stood out for both her skill and heart. Her dedication was so apparent that our schedulers used to joke, “If only we could clone her!”

While we couldn’t clone Christina, we did the next best thing: we promoted her.

As Caregiver Manager, Christina now coaches and mentors fellow caregivers helping them grow in confidence, sharpen their skills, and navigate the day-to-day challenges of the job with compassion and grace.

A proud mother of three, Christina understands that caregiving is far more than a task list, it’s a calling.

“Caregiving isn’t easy,” she says. “It takes compassion. You have to have the heart for it. I try to give every client the same level of care I would want for my own parents.”

She’s also realistic about the role:

“You need a backbone. Sometimes you have to put your feelings aside. Clients with dementia can get cranky, but it’s not personal. You have to remember what they’re going through.”

Christina’s heart and resilience were on full display in one of her long-term assignments, caring for an older couple, one living with dementia, the other with declining vision. Even after stepping into her new leadership role, Christina still checks in on them.

“I called their daughter and asked if I could pop by to say hello. She invited me to lunch, and the whole family came out to see me. It meant so much.”

Now, Christina brings that same spirit of connection to her work supporting other caregivers. She offers real-world guidance based on experience, such as how to walk into a client’s home and be helpful without overstepping. It’s a delicate balance, and Christina has a gift for teaching it.

She credits Rachel O’Brien, our Community Liaison in our Ft. Worth office, for bringing her to Cambridge.

“I love Cambridge,” Christina says. “Rachel brought me here and I love her for that.”

Rachel, in turn, saw Christina’s potential from the start.

“I remember the first time I watched Christina with a client. I hadn’t even briefed her and she just walked in and intuitively knew what to do. That’s rare.”

Christina quickly became one of our most requested caregivers. One client was so grateful for her support during his wife’s cancer care that he continued hiring her even after his wife passed — and insisted on paying for her vacation time.

“Promoting Christina meant taking one of our best caregivers out of rotation,” Rachel admits. “But this new role is even more valuable. She’s now shaping the next generation of exceptional caregivers — and no one is better suited for it.”

At Cambridge Caregivers, we’re committed to providing the best possible care for our clients — and that starts with investing in our people. Christina Solis represents the very best of who we are and what we strive for.

We’re proud to have her leading the way.
